In my work with clients, I support those who are experiencing a wide variety of mental health concerns including (but not limited to), chronic pain, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, disordered eating/body image, and domestic violence. So if you’re tired of struggling with these issues and want to find some support while learning some tools to handle these struggles, welcome!
In our work together, we’ll set goals that feel right for you, which often include increasing your awareness of the stories held in our body, developing a work-life balance, improving your boundaries in relationships with others in your life, and increasing self compassion and empathy. You may have long term goals, or you may have short term goals for more immediate concerns.
Some common therapeutic approaches include: somatic therapy - which is body oriented, and aims to resolve symptoms of stress and trauma that get held in our body and nervous system.
I also utilize a narrative approach, person centred/humanistic, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavior therapy, as well as mindfulness and self compassion.
